Sorting Water Sources

Learning about water sources and understanding if they are natural water sources or man-made water sources is crucial to understanding the importance of water in our daily lives. This cut-and-paste worksheet pack is an excellent way for students to show their understanding of this concept.

An answer key is included with your download to make grading fast and easy!

Tips for Differentiation + Scaffolding

Card sets vary in difficulty and can be identified by the shape found in the top corners of the Sorting Cards page.

  • Raindrop Sorting Cards = general examples (ex: River) and are beginner-level
  • Cloud Sorting Cards = specific examples (ex: Nile River) and are advanced-level

You can mix and match varying combinations of Sorting Cards and Templates based on student understanding.

  • Natural vs. Man-made Template =  beginner-level
  • Freshwater vs. Saltwater = advanced-level
