Get to know your students a bit better using a ‘Letter to Teacher’ template.
First-Day Introductions with A Letter to the Teacher Activity
As we gear up for a brand-new school year, let’s flip the script on those standard icebreakers and introductions. Instead of the usual round of name games, why not invite your students to share their stories through the art of letter writing? The Teach Starter team has been hard at work creating a series of new ‘Letter to the Teacher’ templates to help students at different grade levels introduce themselves more easily.
Fill-in-the-Blank Letter to Teacher Template
This printable resource is designed to provide students with a scaffolded way to introduce themselves to the teacher through letter writing. We’ve included three variations of the Letter to Teacher template so that a wider range of student abilities can participate fully in the activity.
Using the Fill-in-the-blank templates, students will complete sentence stems and finish a variety of statements to help you get to know them a bit better.
