Map Elements Matching Game

Enhance your geography lessons with a map elements matching game. This game is designed to be played as a Concentration or Go Fish!

Students match terms, images and descriptions of different elements commonly found on maps.

Terms included are:

  • map title
  • compass rose
  • legend
  • map key
  • scale
  • latitude and longitude.

This matching game would be an ideal intervention activity for students who need extra support in identifying the features of maps.

How to Prepare This Resource

Print the cards double-sided. This allows for each card to have both a front and back. Cut apart the cards and place them in an envelope for easy storage.
